like, a few months ago...

yeah, i've done it again...
i've procrastinated posting
all the sexy people i've
been hanging out with lately...
so here comes the flood.

Calico Skies

I wanted to try something totally different
for the engagement video of Mike and Annette.

We're always trying to make slideshows
that wedding guest will want to sit through.

My idea was to use the sky and grass as blue and green screens.
The trick was to keep it from becoming one of those 80's photos
where the subject's face is randomly floating above them.

you should probably know
that the stars were aligned
when i found where i wanted
to take sweet little becca
for her bridals.

i was driving around scoping out
possibilities; all the while,
talking with my best friend on the phone.
when, in mid sentence, i stopped--
and whispered "i found it".

wow, was that dramatic?...yeah, i can get like that.
needless to say, i was pretty jazz hands
about these pictures!

about trespassing during parts of our adventure...oopsies.

i could definitely ramble on
even more than i already have,
about this wonderful couple;
but i'll just say this:

it was beautiful...

the celebration.

nicole and mr. k
had a fancy schmancy
two day celebration
up at the beautiful
sundance resort.

it was my first time
ever being up there
(i know, silly me)
and it was fantastic.

they started out with
a celebration the night
before the big day
and there was

dancing* (i love, LOVE when people actually dance)
singing
delicious food
crackling fires
twinkling lights
christmas trees
family
friends
a gracious, happy couple
and lots and lots of love.

*sometimes when there are
people dancing and enjoying themselves
all around me i just can't help
but dance with them...
i'm pretty sure i made a fool of myself...oopsies!

you'd do the same if the band started
singing "sweet caroline"...a little bit of neil never hurt anyone.
