the pehrson family.

i watched weather.com
like a hawk up until the
minute i left to meet
the pehrsons...and it didn't change.
it still showed that it would
rain and most definitely snow.

a miracle happened that day, people.
maybe mother nature saw how fiercely
good looking and dressed up they'd gotten
and decided to give them a break,
or maybe it's because i'm a prayin' girl;
either way, no snow. not even any rain.

yes, there was pesky wind,
and it was pretty cold too;
but we happily took that, instead.
and it was a pleasure.

but wait...
you're probably wondering
where the pictures of that cute girl,
laura jane, in the fantastic
green skirt are...
and to that i say:
she gets a post all to herself,
that i'm saving
for another day.
(we went off and
had a fun little fashion shoot and
it was all sorts of fun!)

so get ready for some serious eye candy!

the big day.

i could definitely ramble on
even more than i already have,
about this wonderful couple;
but i'll just say this:

it was beautiful...
see for yourself.

the celebration.

nicole and mr. k
had a fancy schmancy
two day celebration
up at the beautiful
sundance resort.

it was my first time
ever being up there
(i know, silly me)
and it was fantastic.

they started out with
a celebration the night
before the big day
and there was

dancing* (i love, LOVE when people actually dance)
singing
delicious food
crackling fires
twinkling lights
christmas trees
family
friends
a gracious, happy couple
and lots and lots of love.

*sometimes when there are
people dancing and enjoying themselves
all around me i just can't help
but dance with them...
i'm pretty sure i made a fool of myself...oopsies!

you'd do the same if the band started
singing "sweet caroline"...a little bit of neil never hurt anyone.

nicole's bridals.

brace yourself...
i'm going to be corny...
but corny is
okay if i'm being
totally honest right?

right.

i cannot say enough about this girl.
(nope, that's not the corny part)
we started the bridals and with every
snap of the camera i just kept
"oooh"ing and "ahhh"ing over
what a princess she looked like.

yep that was the cheesy part.

i hate when people use the word princess.
it seems so snotty and pink and feathery
and obnoxious and spoiled...but
i'm talking about a REAL princess...
i don't know any real princesses
but i'd like to think that they are kind
and beautiful and elegant and smart and put together.

that's nicole.

i am so happy to have worked with her
during one of the happiest moments of her
life and i feel like i've gained a friend.
