dave's brother, mike, got married.
but wait, there's more greatness.
he married annette aka nettie aka
one of the sweetest girls i've ever known.

but wait, again, even more greatness...

it all took place at the los angeles temple
and it was simply beautiful...i've never seen
a couple as truly happy coming out of the
temple as these two birdies...
take a look...see what i mean?
fun, right? well the fun hasn't even begun.

i'm happy to say, i've known this couple since
the beginning of their relationship.

andy and i were supposed to go
on a friendly little group date, however,
i wasn't feeling too hot aaaand i was
a little bummed and missing dave
(this was during one of the all too dramatic periods
in OUR relationship when we were "on a break"-eye roll)...
so i suggested that since i couldn't go with andy
that he take out that cute annie girl we'd hung out with a few times
(since i knew he was totally into her anyway...i'm such a match-maker)

anyway, dave ended up bringing me soup
and a copy of amelie to watch together.
(our dramatic breaks clearly didn't stick)

andy and annie went out, only to hit it off completely
and get hitched and make the sweetest squishiest baby leah...
so really, everybody won.

and we all lived happily ever after.....
and i'm lucky enough to photograph some of that happiness.

Calico Skies

I wanted to try something totally different
for the engagement video of Mike and Annette.

We're always trying to make slideshows
that wedding guest will want to sit through.

My idea was to use the sky and grass as blue and green screens.
The trick was to keep it from becoming one of those 80's photos
where the subject's face is randomly floating above them.
