three pease in a pod.

i always get nervous when a close friend
asks me to photograph their family;
and noelle aka noey aka the first noelle
happens to be one of my best little bosom buddies.

i was nervous...but oh so honored and giddy.

a few things:

-we took these in october...me and procrastination
are, apparently, best friends lately.

-i always said i wanted
all boys when i grew up...but if i could be promised
a little girl like taya, then i'd surely be happy as a clam :)

It was not even one week away from the wedding, and Mr. K still had not received his visa. Miracles ensued and this couple had a dream wedding in Sundance Utah.

The reception was on December 8th, and the ceremony took place the next day.

They Go Places

If you haven't met Nicole and Mr. K, stop whatever you are doing and go find them. They are so nice and funny. Your heart will be warmed, mark my words.

Here's the engagement video we made for their reception.

"Nicole and Mr. K are so totally bodacious. Nicole is beautiful, classy and punctual. Mr. K is sharp, keen, and hilarious. They met in Germany on one serendipitous evening. Check out Nicole's blog:
shegoesplaces.blogspot.com

It was like a dream working with this sweet couple.

This video gives you a heavy dose of embarrassing baby pictures along with an explanation of how they met and will leave you with a tear in your eye at the end."

Kinesiological Analysis: Free Throw Shot

This was made for a course my brother Mike is taking at the University of Utah.

Not the first video assignment that I have helped create. I always seem to go over board with these. It's almost a nervous tick I get paying attention to detail- just like how I can't stand to leave anything in the recycle bin on my computer.

So maybe John's wearing Thurl Bailey goggles and a Superfly jersey, but the slow motion is flawless.

joe & bianca. lovebird family pictures.

i went to school with joe;
but haven't really seen him
since then...and that was
like, ten years ago
(yep, this girl's gettin' up there).
so, you can imagine how
excited/flattered/nervous
i was when they asked me
to take their family pictures.

it was such a fun morning.
i felt like i was just hanging
out with my friends.
and lets face it, that beats work
any day.
and they couldn't have been
sweeter to each other...like, genuinely
in love, sweet. those are the best kind of couples.

aaaand (like i do in every shoot)
i found something that bianca
was wearing that i completely envy.
just look at her gold shoes...sigh.

she and mr. k.

it has been a complete pleasure
getting to know this sweet couple
and hear their love story...

it's different than any couple
i've ever known and that makes
their engagement
that much more special.

important side notes:

1- i was amazed/completely
jealous of her rockin' legs!
(whistle whistle)

2- girls; try really hard not
to be too envious of her fabulous
anthropologie coat....i wish i wish.

3- she has a blog...that i now
read...all. the. time.

in conclusion:
i get to take pictures of them.
dave gets to film them.
lucky us.

Life Histories

We've recently been working hard to complete a brochure to help clients and families create life histories on video. We've worked with historians and studied story telling techniques. We've also come up with an affordable price list for those who are looking to have a life history professionally filmed and edited.

You can also download the brochure. Feel free to share this as you'd like, but please respect our copyright.

We'd love to hear what you think and happy to share our advice for those who are considering doing something like this for themselves or their relatives.
