i watched weather.com
like a hawk up until the
minute i left to meet
the pehrsons...and it didn't change.
it still showed that it would
rain and most definitely snow.

a miracle happened that day, people.
maybe mother nature saw how fiercely
good looking and dressed up they'd gotten
and decided to give them a break,
or maybe it's because i'm a prayin' girl;
either way, no snow. not even any rain.

yes, there was pesky wind,
and it was pretty cold too;
but we happily took that, instead.
and it was a pleasure.













but wait...
you're probably wondering
where the pictures of that cute girl,
laura jane, in the fantastic
green skirt are...
and to that i say:
she gets a post all to herself,
that i'm saving
for another day.
(we went off and
had a fun little fashion shoot and
it was all sorts of fun!)

it was cold. really cold.
and windy, too.

but i had all sorts of fun chasing the
kids around library square,
and listening to lance and kelli
crack each other up...
they are best friends and they're
married...and they live for their children.

i know i'm an outsider...
but i can see the happiness
they feel for their family
and it is beautiful.

it's always fun...and flattering
when family asks me to take pictures.
it's especially flattering when
amy asks me because she happens
to take pictures like nobody's business.

(and stuck by us through all our
silly dating drama...for three years)...
kind of a big deal.

for a second...

i've know this adorable family
for a few years and...you know
how there are those certain
people that for one reason
or another, you just want them
to think you're cool?...these are my
feelings about marci.
she's cool, she's confident,
she's a runner...i am amazed by runners.

i was prepared to give a longer list on
why i adore her so much but i
didn't want to be creepy...so, anyway...
you could imagine my glee when she
asked me to take family pictures.

again, these were taken awhile ago...
naughty naughty me...i'm slowly catching up.

three pease in a pod.

i always get nervous when a close friend
asks me to photograph their family;
and noelle aka noey aka the first noelle
happens to be one of my best little bosom buddies.

i was nervous...but oh so honored and giddy.

a few things:

-we took these in october...me and procrastination
are, apparently, best friends lately.

-i always said i wanted
all boys when i grew up...but if i could be promised
a little girl like taya, then i'd surely be happy as a clam :)

i went to school with joe;
but haven't really seen him
since then...and that was
like, ten years ago
(yep, this girl's gettin' up there).
so, you can imagine how
excited/flattered/nervous
i was when they asked me
to take their family pictures.

it was such a fun morning.
i felt like i was just hanging
out with my friends.
and lets face it, that beats work
any day.
and they couldn't have been
sweeter to each other...like, genuinely
in love, sweet. those are the best kind of couples.

aaaand (like i do in every shoot)
i found something that bianca
was wearing that i completely envy.
just look at her gold shoes...sigh.
